Co-produced by the European Cultural Foundation, Platoniq and the City of Madrid, the 2017 Idea Camp brings together 50 Idea Makers from 25 countries across Europe. During three days, participants will nurture and upskill the ideas that they have developed with the ambition to counteract anti-democratic practices and bring forward voices excluded from public debate and decision-making.
For the 2017 Idea Camp, we have drawn on the rich social fabric of the city of Madrid, working hand in hand with local organisations and collectives on the ground not just to plan the programme but also to design the space for the event and to shape the communications around it. We are delighted that 2017 Idea Makers will have the chance to meet some of these inspiring local organisations and collectives, to exchange experiences with them and to share the visions and challenges that inform their work.
The idea Camp will take place in two venues: Daoiz y Velarde and Medialab Prado. and puts specific effort to on the local fabric.
The programme is articulated through a number of activities, including workshops facilitated by local collectives and the Idea Camp team, idea development sessions, walks in the neighborhood, collective discussions, meetings with local organisations.
