Following Evliya Celebi's Hoofprints

Tracing the legendary Ottoman explorer Evliya Celebi's travels across western Turkey and Romania, Following Evliya Celebi's Hoofprints is a photography and documentation exhibition presented in Turkey and Germany, as part of the 'TANDEM: Cultural Managers Exchange Programme'. Prepared by Hüseyin Eryurt from Turkish Culture Routes Society and Dragoş Lumpan from Associatia Fotocabinet in Romania, the exhibition follows the famous travelogue Seyahatname, written in 10 volumes during the 17th century, of Evliya Celebi and offers a look into how the landscape has changed, or remained the same since the time of the great traveler.

The exhibition will be open to visitors in the following cities with further locations to be announced later:

  • Eskişehir 21-31.10.2014
