Over the past 60 years, we have brought together ideas, knowledge and experience to maximise the impact of culture across wider Europe, both through our activities and through our grants programmes. Our goal is to support and bring new ideas and inspired visions to diverse audiences across different countries in Europe and beyond.
If you are using social media to promote your project, don't hesitate to tag us on Twitter and Facebook in any relevant posts. We would be happy to help you spread the word about your project through our networks too. We also invite you to join ECF labs, our online community focusing on arts and culture, where you can share views, news and projects.
To keep up to date with all the latest developments in our grants programme, follow us through our social media channels and eZine.
ECF has supported a wide range of projects in many different countries. For an overview of previously supported projects, including our Collaboration Grants (to 2013) please visit our Library.
STEP travel grants
STEP stands for ‘Supporting Travel for Engaged Partnerships’. STEP travel grants support creative and critical cultural workers travelling across Europe and its neighbours, to help foster a society with greater solidarity, equality and a stronger sense of social justice. The programme is initiated and managed by ECF with the support of Compagnia di San Paolo.
Please see the guidelines and submit your application at steptravelgrants.eu. The deadline to apply is a minimum of 60 days before the departure date.
Connected Action for the Commons: Idea Camp and R&D Grants
Every year, we issue an open call to cultural organisations and individual change-makers to submit innovative ideas to address Europe-wide issues. A selection of 50 applicants from a variety of sectors and countries are then invited to attend an Idea Camp - a meeting and working place with opportunities to network, find new partners for collaborative projects, develop ideas and take part in training.
Following the Idea Camp, the 50 Idea Makers are invited to submit a proposal for up to 10,000 Euros for an R&D project. Twenty-five of these proposals receive grants, allowing the selected Idea makers to take their work to the next stage through a concentrated periods of research and development. You can find out more about the 2014 R&D grantees here
