ABOUT THE STEP BEYOND TRAVEL GRANTS
STEP Beyond Travel Grants are designed for up-and-coming artists and cultural workers to travel between EU and EFTA (European Free Trade Association), and countries bordering the EU. Priority is given to individuals who are under 35 years old and/or who are in the first 10 years of their career. The STEP Beyond funding scheme emerged from previous mobility grant programmes such as Erasmus and APEXchanges.
You can check eligibility and submit your application on ECF Labs, in the Lab dedicated to Step Beyond. When you apply, you become part of the ECF Labs community, which is a chance to connect with other artists and cultural workers from across Europe and beyond.

STEP Beyond Travel Grants from/to the countries of South Caucasus (Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia) and Turkey are jointly funded with the Open Society Foundation (OSF).
There is no deadline for this grant scheme, which operates on a rolling basis. The selection process takes up to one month. Although you can apply at any time, please bear in mind that your travel cannot take place before our funding decision has been communicated to you.
